However, laptops in the budget range in Windows can be rather hit and miss with efficiency and suitability with using real time audio, mainly due to the way they manage power and processing for the components but one thing you really need to do on a Windows laptop is disable power saving features and CPU throttling, not something ideal for older laptops as it can make them run hot. I'm a PC guy personally but own both PC and a MacBook and prefer using an iPhone so I am not an 'anti Apple' person, I personally just do not like how the company markets and pushes their software and hardware personally nor how their focus is always 'push forward without bothering with maintaining compatibility'.
